We are looking for a bioinformatician to join our expanding team. Our company is a leading player in the Hungarian healthcare field, and thanks to our success we are constantly expanding, developing and have a solid background.

MAIN TASKS:

• Performing NGS-based data processing and bioinformatic analyses using proprietary Illumina software and other Linux-based applications
• Downstream data analysis including statistics
• Deployment, updating and validation of software
• Maintenance of the LIMS
• Establishing standardized bioinformatic pipelines with workflow management systems such as Snakemake or Nextflow
• Familiarity with package managers and environment management systems (i.e. Conda, Docker)
• Server, storage and hardware maintenance and upgrade

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Deep and demonstrated knowledge and experience in NGS data handling in a Linux environment
• Experience in Python and/or R scripting
• Ability to work independently
• Fluency in English and Hungarian
• Have an attention to details

PREFERRED:

• experience in genetic diagnostics
• familiarity with NGS methods
